Partners

We collaborate with scientists around the world and with industry partners.

To strengthen scientific collaboration within TRR 402, the Collaborative Research Center awards Mercator Fellowships to internationally recognized researchers from Germany and abroad. During their stays, the fellows will collaborate with TRR 402 researchers on key questions regarding intelligent production and load-optimized 3D grading of reinforcement architectures in lightweight polymer structures. The Mercator Fellowship is a funding program of the German Research Foundation (DFG) and aims to establish and strengthen sustainable scientific collaborations between the fellows and the researchers in TRR 402 over the long term.

Subprojects

Dr. inż. Paulina Szołdra from the Faculty of Space Technologies at AGH University of Krakow visited the CRC/TRR 402 at Chemnitz University of Technology as a visiting researcher at the Chair of Lightweight Structures and Plastics Processing. Her field of work in the area of functionalised, fibre-reinforced materials complements the CRC’s research into intelligent lightweight plastic structures with graded reinforcement architectures. The academic exchange served to discuss joint approaches to the further development of hybrid fibre-reinforced composite systems. This has laid the foundations for future cooperation in the field of innovative lightweight construction and materials technologies.
